In August 2006, when a fire devastated over 400 homes in Alaska and displaced as many families, Share a Child organized and coordinated an international emergency relief effort that brought food, and clothing to the neediest victims.
Beneficiaries of the Share A Child live in congested squatter colonies that are often hit by fire or the strong winds of a typical typhoon.
